Christopher J. Killoy, President and CEO
View BioMr. Killoy was named CEO of the Company on May 9, 2017 and had served as President and COO of the Company from January 1, 2014 to May 9, 2017. Prior to that, Mr. Killoy served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing beginning in November 2006. Mr. Killoy originally joined the Company in 2003 as Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, and subsequently as Vice President of Sales and Marketing from 2004 to 2005. From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Killoy served as Vice President and General Manager of Savage Range Systems. Prior to joining Ruger, Mr. Killoy was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Smith & Wesson. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) and a member of the Board of Directors of Velocity Outdoor, a subsidiary of Compass Diversified Holdings.
Mr. Killoy is a 1981 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and subsequently served in a variety of Armor and Infantry assignments in the U.S. Army.
Sarah F. Colbert
View BioSarah, named Vice President of Administration, has served the Company in various human resource and legal capacities since joining the Company in 2011. In her most recent role as Director of Human Resources, Sarah worked with a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team to develop and launch "Ruger University," an internal program offering degree and non-degree courses designed to further associates' training and education. And as part of an ongoing effort to harmonize and simplify Company policies, practices and procedures, Sarah also guided a team to successfully implement "Workday," the Company's first cloud-based human capital management system.
Prior to joining Ruger, Sarah worked as a litigation associate at Day Pitney LLP and Ryan Ryan Deluca LLP, where she handled a wide variety of matters, including complex commercial litigation, product liability and employment disputes.
Sarah graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2005 and Suffolk University (summa cum laude) in 2001.
Thomas A. Dineen
View BioSenior Vice President of Finance, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer as of July 10, 2017. Previously, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer since 2003 and Assistant Controller from 2001 to 2003. Mr. Dineen joined the Company in 1997 as Manager of Corporate Accounting.
Shawn C. Leska
View BioShawn was elected by the Board as Vice President of Sales on November 6, 2015. He previously served as the Company’s Director of Sales beginning in November 2011. Shawn joined the Company in 1989 as an Accounting Office Assistant, growing to a Regional Sales Manager prior to becoming Director of Sales.
Timothy M. Lowney
View BioTim Lowney, who has been with Ruger for over 16 years, was promoted to the position of Vice President of Operations for Newport, Prescott and RPM Manufacturing in June of 2023. Prior to this promotion, Tim served in various operations leadership roles with the Company, most recently, as Vice President of Prescott Operations since April 1, 2019.
An engineer by trade, Tim has worked in manufacturing management for 25 years, including previous positions with TRW Automotive and Torrington. Tim has extensive Lean training and has led multiple Lean conversions over his career. He is excited to continuously improve and optimize Ruger’s operations and lead the Newport, Prescott and RPM manufacturing teams through their continued Value Stream implementation.
Tim graduated from the University of Lowell with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Kevin B. Reid, Sr.
View BioKevin was elected by the Board as Vice President and General Counsel on April 23, 2008. Prior thereto, Kevin served as the Company's Director of Marketing from June 4, 2007. Kevin joined the Company in July 2001 as an Assistant General Counsel.
Thomas P. Sullivan
View BioThomas Sullivan assumed the position of Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development in June of 2023. In this role, Tom’s focus is on Ruger’s future competitive initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, strategy development and mentoring the next generation of Ruger leaders.
Mr. Sullivan previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations, and Vice President of Newport and Mayodan Operations prior to that. With over 30 years of executive manufacturing experience, he also serves on the Executive Board for the New Hampshire Business and Industry Association and is an advisor for the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
During his 17-year tenure with Ruger, Mr. Sullivan has facilitated the implementation of Lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement principles, creating more value for Ruger stakeholders and enabling Ruger to become the world's largest producer of rugged, reliable firearms for the commercial sporting market. Prior to joining Ruger, he held executive positions with IMI Norgren, Rexnord and TRW Automotive.
Mr. Sullivan holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT); a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); and an M.B.A. with a focus on Finance from the University of Chicago.
Robert J. Werkmeister, Jr.
View BioRob, named Vice President of Marketing, has served as Director of Marketing since January 2013, overseeing all Ruger marketing activities including brand development, product launches, media buying, advertising, and trade shows. Rob was also responsible for Ruger's web presence, including both Ruger.com and ShopRuger.com.
Prior to joining Ruger, Rob was the President and founder of Symbolic, Inc., a full-service marketing agency. While with Symbolic, Rob began working with Ruger as a client in 2002 and has been the primary strategic marketing driver for the Ruger account since 2007.
Rob holds a B.S. degree in Political Science and an M.B.A. in Marketing, with a focus on Consumer Behavior and Research, both from the University at Buffalo.
Michael W. Wilson (Mickey)
View BioMickey Wilson was named Vice President of Operations for New Product Development, Product Engineering and Mayodan Manufacturing in June of 2023. In this role, Mickey oversees and implements all aspects of Ruger’s New Product Development process and continues to oversee all manufacturing operations in Mayodan.
Prior to that, Mickey served as Vice President of Mayodan Operations since 2017, a role he assumed after overseeing manufacturing in a variety of roles since June of 2013, when he led the charge of setting up and growing Ruger’s manufacturing facility in Mayodan, NC. Since joining Ruger in 2007, Mickey has been key in transforming Ruger’s manufacturing operations into Lean value streams, creating a Lean culture and growing sales through new product introductions.
Throughout his career, Mickey has been involved in manufacturing operations and engineering. He served in many engineering and operational leadership capacities for TRW Automotive, Wabash National Trailer Corporation and JeffBoat LLC.
Mickey graduated from Purdue University in 1999 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology and received his M.B.A. from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2008.
